 My Testimony

I had been under conviction close to a year and I was constantly in fear of dying before receiving salvation. I had been for altar prayer many times and I had studied the Bible often, thinking I could get salvation on my own. Then, one Sunday evening near the end of 1981 on a pond bank behind my parents house, I totally depended on God. After praying near the water’s edge, I stood and the sweetest peace came over my heart. My breathing became easier. The pressure from my chest was gone. I had to thank God for saving my soul.
