 My Testimony

I first realized I was lost at about the age of twelve or thirteen after hearing the gospel preached. I can remember thinking about this when I was picking cotton, knowing that I would live in hell for eternity if I died then. However, I resisted the power of the Lord for two or three years. One Sunday night at the age of fifteen, my father took me to the revival at Mount Comfort. After the message was preached, a woman came to me and said she would walk to the altar with me if I wanted to go. I only needed her for that first step. That night at the altar I accepted Jesus as my savior. I knew this when I thought I saw a vision of Jesus coming down the aisle of the church and my burden was gone.

"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." [Psalms 55:22]
